Minotaur Boy to feature in new Dorling Kindersley (DK) imprint launch

Shane Hegarty's

Dorling Kindersley Verlag (DK) is opening a new chapter: In spring 2027, DK flip, a new imprint for narrative children's books, will be launched. The first program includes eleven titles including "Minotaur Boy", Shane’s humorous coming-of-age story with Greek god chaos. The publishing house relies on German-language in-house developments, international authors and the long-term development of series.

With DK flip, the publisher, known for its children's non-fiction books, is expanding its range to include stories that awaken a thirst for adventure, open up new perspectives and seduce children to read on. The new imprint builds on the trust that DK enjoys among families and in the book trade. Curiosity about the world, about knowledge and discoveries becomes an entry point into narrated worlds at DK flip.

The launch program in spring 2027. The focus is on narrative children's books for readers aged 6 to 12; selected titles are aimed at older readers. German-language in-house productions are to help shape the profile of DK flip in the long term and take a permanent place in the programme alongside international titles.

With the German program, DK Verlag is now further developing the imprint for the German-speaking market
