Louise was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, but has lived in Somerset for more than 20 years.

Her first novel, The Love of My Life, a powerful story of love and loss, was published by Pan Macmillan in 2008 and was longlisted for both the Romantic Novel of the Year Award and the Waverton Good Read Award.

Her second novel, Missing You, a moving story of family and love, was published in 2010 and won The People's Choice Award at The Romantic Novelists' Association Pure Passion Awards for that year.

Her third book The Secrets Between Us, a gothic, page-turning romantic novel was published by Transworld in 2011 and was selected for the Richard and Judy Summer Read in 2012

Her fourth book, In Her Shadow in which the past comes back to haunt the present was published in 2012 followed by in 2014 by Your Beautiful Lies, about the lies we tell and the secrets we keep.

Her sixth novel The Secret by the Lake about the secrets of the past was published in 2015

Her next novel The House by the Sea published by Boldwood Books in 2020 has sold over 130,000 copies, was an Amazon no 1 bestseller and on the 8th March 2021 was announced as winner of The Jackie Collins Romantic Thriller Award at the 2021 Romantic Novel Awards.

Louise’s new novel, the chilling and unputdownable The Scarlet Dress published by Boldwood books in the UK and US tells the story of the disappearance, twenty-five years ago, of Alice Lang.

The Room In The Attic was published by Boldwood Books on 12th October 2021 and The Notebook was published in September 2022. Louise’s next novel The Secret Of Villa Alba, an irresistibly compelling, intriguing and captivating tale of betrayal, love, jealousy and the secrets buried in every family history was published by Boldwood on the 3rd July 2023.

Louise has three sons and lives with her husband, Kevin, and two dogs in Somerset.
