Fionnuala O'Leary
Fionnuala O’Leary is a writer based in Dublin. She lived in NYC for eight years, where she worked as a news editor and journalist.
Fionnuala returned home to Ireland in 2024. Her short fiction has twice won the New Irish Writing competition, with her work appearing in the Irish Independent Review Magazine (December 2025) and the Irish Times (May 2020).
In February 2026, her short story, ‘If You Knew How Much I Love You,’ was short-listed for the Royal Society of Literature’s 2026 V.S. Pritchett Short Story Prize in the UK.
Fionnuala is currently working on her first collection of short stories.
