Ali Hardiman

Ali is an actor and writer from Dublin.

Her debut self penned, critically acclaimed play ELECTRIC received 4 and 5 star reviews across the board and went on to tour the UK & Ireland in Spring 2019, culminating in a three week run at Underbelly as part of The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

ELECTRIC has recently received development funding for a feature film adaptation with Screen Ireland & Treasure Entertainment.

Ali’s second play DISCONNECTED opened in 2019 and enjoyed a sell out run at The New Theatre. Ali was one of 6 writers selected for The 24Hhr Plays at The Abbey Theatre in January 2020.

Ali wrote THE DEATH OF PABLO which was programmed for a Work-In-Progress reading as part of The Dublin Theatre Festival 2020 and is currently in development for a full production in 2021.

Ali is a recipient of the Creative Ireland Bursary Award, Pavilion Theatre Patron Donation Award and was a 2019-2020 resident artist with The Dublin Fringe Festival.

Ali is a founding member of theatre company ILA Productions, along with her brother Sam Hardiman.

In May 2020 she was listed as one of The Sunday Times 30 under 30 “artists set for greater glory” as an exciting writer in May 2020 where Pavel Barker likened her to a young Amy Schumer.

As an actor, Ali’s recent credits include season 2 of FINDING JOY (Treasure Entertainment, RTÉ), THE SOUTH WESTERLIES (Deadpan Pictures, RTÉ), BLASTS FROM THE PAST (Firebrand, RTÉ) and THE BRIGHT SIDE (Playground Pictures).
