Ali Hardiman

Ali is an actor and writer from Dublin.

As of 2022 Ali currently has three TV projects in development with three of Ireland’s leading production companies as well as national broadcasting network RTÉ. Her project PRIVATE LIES is in development with Treasure Entertainment and RTÉ, HEAR NO EVIL is in development with ShinAwiL and RTÉ, and HAPPY HOLLY is in development with Blinder Films.


Ali wrote short film MAGIC which is currently on the festival circuit with production company Alfonso Films. Ali performs in the film opposite Killian Sundermann. She recently won Best Female Actor at the Dublin International Comedy Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short Film.


She was listed as one of The Sunday Times 30 under 30 “artists set for greater glory” where Pavel Barker likened her to a young Amy Schumer.


Ali’s debut self penned, critically acclaimed play ELECTRIC received 4 and 5 star reviews across the board and went on to tour the UK & Ireland in Spring 2019.

ELECTRIC has recently received development funding for a feature film adaptation with Screen Ireland & Treasure Entertainment.


Ali’s second play DISCONNECTED opened in 2019 and enjoyed a complete sell out run at The New Theatre. Ali was one of 6 writers selected for The 24Hhr Plays at The Abbey Theatre in January 2020.


Ali wrote THE DEATH OF PABLO, a comedy play co-commissioned by Pavilion Theatre Dun Laoghaire which was programmed for a Work-In-Progress reading as part of The Dublin Theatre Festival 2021 and is currently in development for a full production with Breda Cashe Productions.


Ali was a 2019-2020 resident artist with The Dublin Fringe Festival. She is currently an associate artist of the Civic Theatre.


As an actor, Ali’s recent credits include WRECKED (Euston Films, BBC3) CHRISTMAS AT CASTLE HART (Hallmark), season 2 of FINDING JOY (Treasure Entertainment, RTÉ), MAGIC (Alfonso Films), THE SOUTH WESTERLIES (Deadpan Pictures, RTÉ), BLASTS FROM THE PAST (Firebrand, RTÉ), ELECTRIC and DISCONNECTED (ILA Productions) and THE BRIGHT SIDE (Playground Pictures).
